Trump touts Republican unity on morning after his impeachment

President Trump on Thursday lashed out that his impeachment constituted “PRESIDENTIAL HARASSMENT!” — while insisting it had “united” Republicans “like never before.”

“I got Impeached last might without one Republican vote being cast with the Do Nothing Dems on their continuation of the greatest Witch Hunt in American history,” Trump tweeted about Wednesday’s historic vote.

“100% Republican Vote. That’s what people are talking about. The Republicans are united like never before!” he wrote.

“PRESIDENTIAL HARASSMENT!” he fired off in another tweet, referring to the House voting 230-197 to charge him with abuse of power and 229-198 to charge him with obstruction of Congress.

Trump also seemed confident that his impeachment would never make it to a full Senate trial, noting Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s announcement that they were unsure when they would pass the charges to the Senate.

“Now the Do Nothing Party want to Do Nothing with the Articles & not deliver them to the Senate, but it’s Senate’s call!” Trump wrote. “‘The Senate shall set the time and place of the trial.’ If the Do Nothing Democrats decide, in their great wisdom, not to show up, they would lose by Default!”
