(Washington Insider Magazine) – Bella Hadid’s appreciation for vintage is well documented. The star cycles through old school Jean Paul Gaultier and aughts-era Tom Ford for Gucci regularly, but she doesn’t limit herself to ultra-luxury designers. Like every other twenty-something, Hadid sources secondhand pieces from her favorite labels online, hitting up Depop for archival JPG outerwear like the puffer she showed off on Instagram back in December and frequenting sellers like Dutch Fonzie. This week Hadid showed off her latest acquisition from the platform: a two-piece set from Susamusa, created from deadstock fabric.
Spotted running errands in Tribeca on Sunday, Hadid wore the sheerest of shirts and a matching pencil skirt with a lettuce trim hem. Made from vintage black mesh and detailed with white embroidered florals and swirling patterns, both pieces were entirely in line with Hadid’s outré street style. So much so that the paparazzi was able to spot her despite her effort to go incognito. Even with a black face covering from Maskc and a pair of giant Chanel sunglasses, there was no mistaking that outfit.
